...got up and went to a tree. It was the oldest tree in the vicinity, which, considering that it was A.L.A., wasn't really that old. She tried to laser--or, as she would say, 'hagala'--the tree off of its stump. Naturally, talents that are unnatural don't like to be obliging and do what you want them to. I guess you could say they have their own minds, though I do not think the laserness in the seerseer had a brain. Or a soul. Or anything like that.
It didn't work. The tree was as stock still and attached to its stalk as ever. Immovable. The seerseer sighed and shrugged. Suddenly, as she shrugged, her laser eyeballs burned fire-ily and she managed to sear a line near-ish ground level before it turned off again. The tree began to groan. The seerseer watched apprehensively. The tree began to lean towards her. Then it began to fall. She stepped to the side, and it fell to the ground. She had been thinking about hollowing it out but she decided it was just too much work and it would take way too long so she tugged it towards the oceaneaous waters.
Miraculously, the tree actually moved, and made its way, by itself, to the oceaneaous waters--which I shall now name the Oceaneaous Waters, O.W. for short--and plopped down into them with a loud splash. The seerseer climbed gratefully into the branches near the toppish middle of the tree.
